The British Columbia Health Professionals category of the provincial nominee program is limited to registered nurses, psychiatric nurses, midwives and physicians recruited by provincial and regional health authorities administered through Health Match BC. All other applications to hire health professionals and other skilled health workers are considered in the skilled worker category.

Health Professionals Application Priority

Eligibility requirements for the British Columbia Health Professionals category of provincial nomination are as follows:
  • Nurses: candidates must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the College of Registered Nurses of BC or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of BC
  • Physicians: candidates must have practiced in BC with a work permit for a minimum of nine months, and have a letter from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC confirming that a supervising physician has given them a positive assessment
  • Midwives: have proof of eligibility for registration with the College of Midwives of British Columbia (CMBC) Midwives must provide a Letter of Confirmation from an established practice group in British Columbia showing their acceptance into the group as a midwife for a period of at least 6 months
Our Service

We guarantee that your application will be accurate and complete, and in accordance with Canadian immigration law. The average time for Immigroup to complete a Health Professionals application under the provincial nominee program is 2-4 weeks. BC Health Professionals Program Fees

The fees for an application for the BC Health Professionals program are as follows:

Government:
PNP application fee for British Columbia CDN $550
Permanent residence application fee CDN $550*
Right of permanent residence fee CDN $490*

* Government fees are based on only one person in the application. Fees will vary depending on number of persons included in application. Applicants may be required to pay additional fees for medical exams, police certificates, language assessments, courier fees or adding dependents to the application.

The following are the application forms required for the British Columbia Health Professionals category of nomination:

Nominee Information Form:  
List of all important information of the applicant and his/her dependents
Guaranteed Job Offer Form:
Details of job offer to be completed by the employer
Information  Release Form:
Authorization for British Columbia to release information to the federal government
Forms for Appointing an Authorized Representative:
only use these if using a representative to complete the application
Form for Nominee Candidates

Fee Payment Form:
Use this form to pay the $550 application fee
Permanent Residence Application:  
Application For Permanent Residence:  
Principal application form for Permanent Residence.
4-12 Months
Schedule 1:  
Must be completed by each person over the age of 18 who is included in the application
Aditional Family Information:  
This form asks that the main applicant provide information about his/her family.
Schedule 4 [economic class]:  
Provincial nominees must complete this form along with all other required forms for permanent residency.

Requirements for residency applications may vary depending on the country of citizenship of the applicant. In order to be issued a visa, all candidates must meet criminal and medical admissibility requirements. Applicants considered  inadmissible to Canada   may  be denied a visa.

Applications of applicants in Canada will be processed by the Canadian Consulate General in Buffalo. Applicants may be required to attend an interview with the Consulate in Buffalo or the Canadian Consulate General in Seattle  .
