Employer Direct Application Priority
Priority under this immigration program is given to:
- Employers who apply for the pre-approval of job offers showing that they have made
an effort to hire people in Canada for that position
- Employers who can show that they will provide additional support to help newcomers
with settlement
- Applicants who have a pre-approved job offer
- Applicants who are employed full-time for the last 6 months in the province on a
temporary work permit and who have a permanent offer with that employer
To be eligible for the Manitoba Employer Direct category, applicants must meet the
following criteria
- Have a permanent, full-time job offer from an employer in the province
- Meet the requirements for the federal skilled worker class of immigration
- Have the training, experience, licensing and language required for the job offered
- The ability and intention to settle permanently in the province

Application Process
In order to start the application, the employer must obtain approval for the job
offer made to the applicant with the Government of Manitoba who will then provide
an approval letter which the employer sends to the applicant along with the job
offer letter. Both of these documents must be attached with the applicant’s application.
