The Manitoba Business category for the Provincial Nominee Program of Immigration
lets Manitoba choose and nominate qualified business persons from all over the globe
who are able and willing to move to Manitoba and establish, purchase, or invest
in a business.

Business applicant requirements
To qualify for the Business category for provincial nomination program, applicants
must meet the following criteria:
- Have a minimum personal net worth of CDN $350,000;
- Have a minimum amount of equity investment in the province of CDN $150,000;
- You are single and free to marry
- Demonstrated 3 years business experience in a senior managerial capacity;
- In cases of partnerships, applicant must demonstrate ownership of 1/3 of shares
in the company and is an active senior manager;
- Visited Manitoba to explore business opportunities for at least 7 days;
- Be able to make a $75,000 cash deposit to the Government of the province following
the approval of the application. The deposit will be refunded when the investment
is made.
There may be other requirements for the business category that are determined on
a case-by-case basis.

In order to be issued a visa, all candidates must meet criminal and medical admissibility
requirements. Applicants considered
inadmissible to Canada
may be denied a visa.
