The Prince Edward Island Immigrant Connections category of nomination allows eligible
“Champions”, persons living in P.E.I, to nominate “Connections” for the provincial
nomination program.
“Champion” requirements
Champions must be Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents who have lived in Prince
Edward Island for more than two years. They must have a regular source of income
covering the needs of themselves and their dependents. Their personal history should
be generally unblemished. The Champion needs to make a written commitment to help
the nominee settle into life in the P.E.I.
“Connection” requirements
In order to qualify as a “connection” Immigrant Connections category of nomination,
the applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Be related in the following way to the Champion: a child, sibling, niece/nephew,
aunt/uncle, grandchild, or first cousin; * Have an offer of employment or a proven
ability and intent to work in the province;
- Intend to live in the province;
- Along with dependents, be in good health;
- Along with dependents, have no criminal record.
*Spouses cannot be part of this category of provincial nomination. They should use
the Family Class Sponsorship application

requirements. Applicants considered inadmissible to Canada may be denied a visa.
