The Ontario Provincial Nominee Program is an immigration program through which the province nominates individuals and their families for permanent resident status based on a pre-approved job offer in the province. The provincial government established Opportunities Ontario to help employers succeed in the global competition for talent.

About the Ontario Provincial Nominee Program

The Ontario Provincial Nominee Program is designed to support the province's economic growth by attracting foreign workers. Individuals nominated by the province, together with their spouse and dependent children, are eligible to apply for a permanent resident visa as a Provincial Nominee. Business/ Entrepreneur    
The Ontario Business Investor category of the Pilot Provincial Nomination Program is designed for companies that are making a significant investment in the province, which will lead to job creation and economic development.

Employer Direct Immigration
The Ontario Employer Direct provincial nominee immigration program started in 2007. This project allots 500 positions for provincial nominees. The provincial govenment will only accept applications from foreign workers with qualifications and experience in the skill types O, A or B of the National Occupation Classification (NOC).
