About Fees

Compared with the required amount of funds you need to demonstrate to immigrate to Canada, the application fees seem to be a much smaller amount. However, it is never an amount of money that could be neglected. There are two main fees and some additional fees you have to pay if you apply for Skilled Worker Immigration to Canada.

1. Application Fee

It is beyond question that the application fee must be paid when an application is made. The points we want to remind you of are: that the subject of this paid fee includes the principal applicant and any accompanying spouse, common-low partner and dependent children. Secondly, it should be paid when the application is made. Thirdly, it is an un-refundable payment. Lastly, it is a changeable price, so it is important that the correct current fees for the Skilled Worker Application be determined when the application is made.

2. Right of Permanent Residence Fee

This fee also covers the principal applicant and accompanying spouse or common-law partner.  What differs from the Application fee is that:

  1. you are allowed to pay this amount at any time during the processing of your application by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). Any time before the issuing of your permanent resident visa will be O.K.
  2. this payment is refundable if you cancel your application, or if CIC does not issue your visa to you, or you do not use your visa.
The current fees can be found here.

3. Additional Fees

You will have to pay for the expenses of taking the medical examination, getting your police certificates and having the language tests.
