Dear Sir or Madam,

I need your suggestion regarding Educational Credential Assessment and i will highly appreciate if you reply to my question.

The think is that, I have two completed credentials:
-the first one is DIPLOMA OF SPECIALIST IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS (5 years of study in Tajikistan)
-and the second one is MASTER OF ARTS IN POLITICAL SCIENCE  (1 year and 2 month of study in Kyrgyzstan)

HERE IS THE QUESTION: Should I send to WES both credentials OR evaluation of Masterís Degree certificate is enough? Which option will give me more points in Express Entry?

thank you so much in advance,

I hope to get your reply soon

sincerely,
Gios

Hi Gios,
I would get both assessed by WES, if you can. The Master's Degree will get you more points, but it's good to have both your credentials recognized for use in Canada.

Hope this helps.

Riley

Dear Riley,

Thank you so much for your prompt reply.

some more questions

"... but it's good to have both your credentials recognized for use in Canada." As I understood, by saying FOR USE IN CANADA you meant If would suceed and if in future I would get my Permanent Residence I might need all my credentails assessed, am I right - did I understand you correctly?

HOWEVER, for express entry there is no need to assess both my credentails, I can just assess the highest one which is Master's and thats enough, isn't it? And even If I assess both of them, in any case I will get points according to my Master's Degree, isn't it?

thank you so much in advance.

As to their use in Canada: you never know when someone might request to see your degrees as proof of your qualifications. Having the WES assessment is helpful.

As for Express Entry: they will award you points based on your highest degree (provided you have the assessment) but I do not know whether or not they will need to see the same for your bachelor degree. I would err on the safe side, and do both, unless you speak to someone at IRCC who tells you that you don't need to get assessments for both.

Sorry I cannot be more definitive.
