    Hi. My Grandfather was a nurse in the UK in the 1960s when my Grandparents gave birth to my Mum and her twin brother in 1964 to be specific. Shortly afterwards they all returned to Nigeria. My Question- What status or claim does my Mum have for British Passport? And what claim do I have for a British Passport?

    If she was born in the UK I believe she is a British citizen, as the laws about her parent having status changed in 1983. (I would have to confirm the law in 1964).

    If she is a British citizen she can apply for a British passport with her birth certificate and some photo ID.

    Once she has her passport, you can apply for yours.
