Am I still considered to be an exchange student? URGENT

Hello,
I'm already applying for my study permit, but in one section they ask me if I am an exchange student. I was one 3 years ago, and my type of visa says that (for 6 months though, is the visa SX1) and then returned home to graduate. Now, even if my exchange was that long ago, should I still say yes? or am I not considered an exchange student anymore?
I also need this since on the website it states that as an exchange student one can do their application from within Canada, is that true?

Thank you so much!

Hello,
No, You are not considered an exchange student because a student exchange program is a program in which students from a secondary school or university study abroad at one of their institution's partner institutions. A student exchange program may involve international travel, but does not necessarily require the student to study outside their home country.
Yes, you should be able to apply for study permit from within Canada.
