Between 3 countries... Where to apply or have the medical exam?

Hello, I am currently visiting my Canadian husband in Alberta while preparing my application for permanent resident (family class sponsorship of spouse - outside Canada class, as I need to travel internationally!). I currently live and work in the US, but I understand that I can choose to have my application processed as a Greek citizen in Rome, Italy. Is that correct? And can I have my medical exam in Canada, while I am here?

You can have your application processed for your country of nationality rather than your country of residence, yes.

As for the medical exam, I believe that as long as it is conducted by a Designated Medical Practitioner and otherwise complies with the rules, I do not believe it matters where you get it done, but I am not 100% sure about that.
