I have recently received my PR and Confirmation Of Permanent Residency letter. Now,I wish to travel through any Canada-USA land border(Point Of Entry) to exit and re-enter after spending a day in USA.Do I need to have a valid USA B1 visa to enter through land border in order to validate my PR status?Kindly also suggest which point of entry is used by most applicants like myself for this very purpose of validating the PR document.Any help will be highly appreciated.

It depends upon your citizenship; you either need a US visa or an ESTA. What is your country of citizenship?

I would just go to the nearest border crossing where you want to do something - shop, dine, what have you - and take a trip, even for a day, as you said. The important thing is to actually travel to the US, to avoid a procedural denial.
