Documentation of father's birth

My father was born in the UK. I meet all of the requirements for British citizenship by descent. However, I cannot find my father's birth certificate in the GRO registration book. I can find his sibling's birth certificates as well as my grandparents' birth certificates. I also have a photocopy of the UK 1910 census showing him as a member of my grandfather's family. Can I apply for citizenship by descent with this evidence even though I cannot provide his birth certificate?

That is a good question and I'm sorry to say I don't know the answer. If a birth certificate cannot be produced I don't know what else the UK Passport Office would accept. You could try the photocopy because, presumably, he must have been born in the UK if he was in this census document, I just don't know if they would accept it. Sorry.
