Hi, my late dad is British citizen by naturalization.
He was already a British citizen by the time he got married to my mom who isn't bristish and I was born 1997 in Nigeria.

Does that automatically make me a citizen? If yes...how do I go about applying and what documents do I need.

It makes you a citizen automatically if you your parents were married at your birth. You need the following to apply for a passport: your father's naturalization certificate (and passport, if possible), your parents' marriage certificate, your birth certificate containing your father's name.

Hello, my father is british through naturalization and i was born in 1989. unfortunately he is not listed on my birth certificate but a DNA has been done to rectify that. Also my parents were not married. I lived and schooled in uk until i was 7yrs and taken out to ghana for over 20yrs now. Am I eligible for a british passport without their marriage certificate.(my mom is estranged since she brought me to Ghana).
