Getting my wife to be to Canada

Hi all,

I am a PR in Canada from Sri Lanka(SL) who has recently moved to Canada. My girlfriend is in SL whom I am looking to get to move to Canada so that we can live together. I am looking at the following options

1. Get her here on student visa for a course of her interest, once she start her course and on semester break we both fly back to SL and get married there. This is my interest as we can fly back to Canada as a married couple as soon as we are married and start the inland sponsorship agreement in Canada?
2. I will go to SL and marry her and start an outland application for the sponsorship. This will make us be apart for longer of course.

Which is the best option for me? I have to go back home to get married as I would like my family and friends to be there with me when I get married.

1 is the better course, if she qualifies, because she will already have status here when you marry, meaning she should be able to travel to and from Sri Lanka without too many issues.
