IELTS Question

Hello everyone. My name is Ignacio and I come from Argentina. I've pre-qualified to enter Canada via Express-Entry program and I would like to know which type of IELTS exam should I take.

I am an organizational psychologist (degree) and I intend both to live permanently and study my Master's Degree at Canada. Now, my situation is as follows: The Express-Entry program demands me to take the IELTS "General Training" type of exam, while the Universities in Canada require for me to take the IELTS "Academic" version. I couldn't find an answer about this, should I take both versions of the IELTS? Should I only take the "Academic" version?

I thank you all in advance for your time and any answers given will be appreciated.

Thanks again, Ignacio.

The more comprehensive test ("Academic") should be fine. However, it's only good for two years. So if you do it to get into school now, it will likely be invalid by the time you are eligible for Canada Experience Class.
