Unemployed sponsor?

Hi, I would like to know if they would approve me as a sponsor for spousal sponsorship from within Canada if I am unemployed. I do have enough money, though, but mostly from my husband's job in Chile. The money goes into my account. Maybe I can send them a copy of my bank account information? How should I do it?
I dont have a tax return Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency either, because I just arrived to Canada.

You do not have to have a job to sponsor your spouse. You just have to pledge to support your spouse once he is in Canada. If he goes on social assistance within the first 3 years, you will have to pay back the government.
If you are on some kind of social assistance - such as EI - then you are ineligible to sponsor.
