Unemployment, proof of employment (FSW class)

Hi,
I have got an invitation to apply for express entry. My question is that I did not work during last 1 year. would my unemployment make any adverse effects on the acceptance of my application? Also I had worked as a management accountant during 2014-15 for 1.5 years, for which i got paid in cash and as my income was below minimum requred to file incometax return, i never filed it. I only have offer letter, experience letter and salary slips to prove this job. will this be enough? please guide. Thank you in advance.

As to your first question, it's okay if you qualify based on work done previous to this past year provided it qualifies you for the Federal Skilled Worker program and was recent enough.

As to your second: yes, I believe this is fine. You can include a letter explaining the situation if you wish.
