I'm an undergraduate studying at a Canadian DLI and I'm entering my 4th year. I'm unable to afford the full tuition due to international fees so I have been taking the minimum amount of classes, therefore I have to study for an additional 2-3 years to complete my credits. I moved here at the beginning of 2021 and have lived and worked here for almost 3 years.
If I were to get my PR then my tuition fees would be waived and I wouldn't need to pay $25k+ a year!
Is it possible to apply for my PR? If so, what category would I apply under? I have been living with my boyfriend since May of 2021 so I believe I am in a common-law relationship. We were considering him being my sponsor, but since he just graduated and is just entering the full-time work field, I don't think he would qualify to "financially support me". (As he is still in the process of paying off his student loans).
I am truly lost in this immigration/ application process as I am here on my own without any family. Please help me!
