Hi.
My mom was born in UK but had to end her citizenship due to dual citizenship laws before I was born. The law on dual citizenship is now changing where I am living. So my question is If I am still eligible to be a british citizen by descent?

Hi Markus,
The UK government normally does not recognize the renunciation of British citizenship unless it was done in the presence of a UK official according to UK policies. Depending upon how your mother renounced, she may actually still be British in the eyes of the UK which would mean you did inherit citizenship when you were born.
