Dual citizenship right to stay in Canada

I have dual citizenship with Canada and UK. I have a Canadian passport and a certificate of Canadian Citizenship. My permanent residence is the UK. I am a senior citizen so no longer work. Would I need any visa or permit to come and stay in Canada for 12 months if I wished? What about my husband who has only UK citizenship and is of similar age to me?

Neither of you would normally need a visa. Your husband will be admitted as a visitor though, and that may only be for 6 months. If you want to stay here for 12, he may have to apply for an extension, depending on what is stamped in his passport on arrival.
