You need to get an ECA for your degree or diploma: https://www.immigroup.com/news/educational-credential-assessment-eca-express-entry

There may be a forum on the internet somewhere where people are publicly sharing their experiences and maybe be able to help you guess what equivalent Canadian degree you'd be credited.

For your work experience, just complete an Express Entry profile and it will show you the points.

Well, in order to find if your education and work experience are up to the Canadian standards, you need to first submit your ECA (Educational Credential Assessment) report, assessed from a relevant authority such as WES (World Education Services). An ECA report reflects that your current education perfectly matches the Canadian education standards.

For work experience, you need to find what your NOC code is and whether your experience matches the job and duties mentioned or not. So, prior to applying, search which NOC code best suits your existing profession and then have a look at the duties and responsibilities so that you don’t face any hassle in between.

Thank you so much for your advice! I had the same question. Does the request have to be submitted before entering the country or can it be done afterwards? Does it make a difference and is it relevant today?
