Minors less than 18 years old and citizenship

Hello,
I had sponsored my wife and son and both got their PRs July 2017. My question is concerning my son who is 14 years old. Does he have to wait for (complete) three years before he can apply for the citizenship? Or, he can apply for it right now since he is only 14 years old.

He can only apply when you apply or after you apply, so he has to wait.

Thanks for the information. I am already a Canadian citizen, but my son was born before I became a Canadian citizen. For this reason I had to sponsor him.

I am currently completing my daughters application for Citizenship by descent with form: APPLICATION FOR CITIZENSHIP CERTIFICATE FOR ADULTS AND MINORS. I am filling it out as if I was her - my question... do I need to include a completed representative form (IMM 5476) with the application or is it enough to note my contact details on the application form (section 12: contact information) and sign it as the parent (section 14)?

In this case you are not a representative because you are a custodial parent.
