Multiple entry visa

My boyfriend has a multiple entry visa.
He came to Canada to visit me just recently at the end of April for 4 weeks and the CBSA were a little concerned about his trip but eventually let him pass.
He returned home to Mexico but we would like for him to come up in July.
Would there be a problem with the CBSA that he is coming 2 months later? Even though he has his multiple entry visa? I am nervous because of the consequences that could come in result of them denying him entry into Canada.

There could very well be. It depends on the officer, frankly. He needs to bring along enough proof that he's not staying: return ticket and proof of a need to return to Mexico (lease, deed, employment contract, things like that).
