If you are a recently arrived refugee in Canada, from Syria or elsewhere, you need to know what sort of assistance is available to you. The Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) is boosting funding by 25% to service providers who provide you with specific resettlement services. A total of $335 million will be spent over the next 4 years to fund these settlement and resettlement services for Syrian refugees. Over $640 million each year is spent in Canada – not including the province of Quebec – on settlement and resettlement services.
