How to get coverage before OHIP ?

My wife(Canadian citizen) and I (PR) will be landing in Dec 2022 in Toronto. Since Ontario OHIP does not provide any coverage for first few months what are our options ? The reason I am worried is about medical care and cost, since my wife would be around 8 months pregnant in Dec 2022.
Can I buy private insurance? Which ones ?

Yes, you can buy private insurance, just do a Google search with "private insurance Ontario" and see what comes up. If I remember correctly in Ontario it will be a few thousand dollars to deliver a baby (not that bad).
