Implied status

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum so please don't judge me if i ask my questions in wrong section.

I have open work permit and planning to apply to AINP semi-skilled. I just want to know more about so called "implied status" so when will i apply and my work permit expires , but i'm still waiting for the answer will i get i.s or not?

Hi Mark,

If you currently have a work permit which is due to expire, applying for the AINP will not give you implied status. The AINP is a provincial program not a CIC application. If you receive a nomination you can then apply for a work permit and this would give you implied status as long as your current work permit was valid at the time you applied for the new work permit.
