Still waiting on my Childs Proof of Citizenship

My husband and I are both Canadian citizens. We had a daughter born in the US, who is currently 5. We are back living in Canada and applied for proof of citizenship for her as soon as we got back, but it's been almost 2 yrs. The application is still in process. In the meantime, we applied for a visitor visa, but it expires on March 3, 2023. Will we need to renew, or is she allowed to stay legally while her application is in process?
Thank you!

Yes, you will need to renew the visitor visa.

If you got a file number, you could try requesting 'urgent processing.' If you did not get a file number and the IRCC agent can't see your application on their system (Please note: Courier Tracking numbers are useless), you need to take action and maybe file a new application.

If you are willing to spend the extra money, it is a service Immigroup offers: https://www.immigroup.com/pdf/canadian-citizenship-certificate-first.pdf
