Will the refusals on a minor application matter ?

If the child is now 18 and want to apply for Canada study visa with good score and finance. Will the previous refusals matter when the child was a minor and was mentioned as dependant in mother application who has now Canada visitor visa for 10 years

The visa officers do look at past refusals, even from when someone was a minor, but they focus more on the current application - like the study plan, finances, and ties to home country. As long as everything is strong now and the previous refusals were explained (if asked), it shouldn’t be a huge issue.
